ASSUME THE BEST IN YOURSELF & EVERYONE Just give the benefit of the doubt that people are doing the best they can at the time. If they aren't, well then maybe they are just having a bad day. SMILE Physiologically its good for you. Smiling triggers the nuerophysical processes of happiness. Also, it just spreads a little good cheer and makes the world a better place. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH LOVE Consciously try to surround yourself with people who make you laugh, see the best in you and enjoy your company. It will bring out the best in you. Sometimes there are situations where we have to deal with people who are not very positive or respectful, which leads us to our next resolution: SET A GOOD EXAMPLE Behave and treat others in the way you want to be treated. Disrespectful and rude people might just not know any better. Show them a different way through your example. EXPECT RESPECT Carry yourself as though you are sacred, because you are. If someone else doesn't see that it's their loss and their problem. Minimalize contact with disrespectful people. Don't sink to their level, or worse try to get them to change or even to like you. Just set the best example you can and go on about your day. DO NOT BE DEFINED BY WHAT OTHERS THINK OF YOU Good or bad - other peoples opinions are just other peoples opinions. Just be the best self you can be today. If someone, even someone close to you, refuses to see the best in you, just let it go. There may be some inner handicap within them that is causing this. Minimalize your contact with them to the extent you can and move on. Also, don't be too pumped up by the good favor of others either. It is a precarious situation. They might think you are great today but will they tomorrow or if the circumstances were different? Just be productive and happy with how you conduct your days and how you use your time and talent and you will find yourself on more solid ground. DON'T WASTE YOUR TALENT Do something good with your day, every day. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME Or let yourself to be sidetracked by anyone or anything that just keeps you spinning in circles. If it does jive with what, who and how you want to be it is just a distraction. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH PEOPLE WHO INSPIRE YOU It will always make you try to be a better person.
